TWTSC has a structured coaching programme to help members advance to high levels within the sport. Training to achieve Duke of Edinburgh awards has often been a starting point for young members.

As a Home Office Approved Target Shooting Club we take part in competitive target shooting competitions. Our members past and present have represented England and Great Britain at a number of international events including both the Commonwealth and Olympic Games.

In 2019 eight of our members represented Kent in .22 prone rifle at County or County reserve level. At national level, in 2019 our club members included the British long-range champion, the Earl Roberts champion, the women’s long-range champion and the British women’s 50m champion!

We also are proud of the number of proficient air rifle shooters within our club - a high proportion of Kent County air rifle team positions are filled by our club members. Two of our junior air rifle members have been selected for training and development within the England Academy, both of whom started at our club as novices.
